Default Restoring PS+ saves? Just installed new HDD

sorry for new topic, but hoping it gets noticed faster..

On XMB, I go to Game > Saved Data Utility (PS3) and there is the PS+ Online Storage which indicates (682MB/1024MB) then hitting "X" just brings up "To save your data in online storage, select the data you wan to save and then select (copy) from the options menu.

I can't figure out how to retrieve my saves from the PS+ cloud and bring them to my new HDD.

Ihad the same issue.

I had to start a game to get a save data file upload it to the cloud and that made the rest of my saves appear for download.

I think you should be able to copy the files manually to the PS+ storage area. I don't think you have to start a game in order to use the save storage. If there is an issue with the saves not loading directly from the cloud when you start the game, you can always copy the save from the cloud to your ps3 through the XMB menu manually.

You select triangle and select copy on the save file, which will allow you to pick the destination of your save, either the saves you uploaded into the cloud, or vice versa.

Weird, that worked! Thank you!

Thanks for the input! Mavrick's tip worked. The saves were not showing up on the cloud until I actually created a new save. Bizarred but as he said, it worked.

Glad it worked for you too.

Was driving me insane waiting for them to show up but no matter how long I let the screen sit they just wouldn't show up. And there's no sync option like there is for Trophies, so I figured the only way to sync them would be to upload a new save file.

If that didn't work I probably would have wept at the loss of all my save data!

Hah, no kidding!

Not completely in the clear. I tried playing PES 2013 (soccer) and it wouldn't let me load my old saves, said it was a different version. I hadn't loaded the latest patch before adding my saves, so tonight I'll try the latest patch then re-adding the saves and hope that does the trick.
