Default Interesting find today at work.

Looking through the system today I was trying to see if we had anymore copies of House Of Flying Daggers on Blu Ray. I noticed that the Sku was "deleted" from the system and there is -Zero- in the warehouse.. Could these shotty first round titles already be scrapped and alternatives be comming shortly? i guess we'll just have to wait n see.

I freakin hope so. I LOVE HoFD and so does my gf. She told me that if they didn't fix the disc no nookie until I did something about it. Now it looks like I don't have to kidnap the compressionist....whew.

Love to see it rereleased as a DL50 disc.

I am just worried that 50gb DL and "better" codecs aren't the cure if it's bad source material used. Just curious when Sony has always come through in the past in regards to Video why all the sudden there stuff isnt up to snuff.

dont worry about that, it is the 50G DL and bad codecs problem. you should be worried that they aren't able to get the 50G DL disks out and refuse to use better compression.

There were two copies at Fry's the other night - now only one

I wanna have the original so that comparisons can be made in the future assuming it is remastered...

scratch this, we are now getting the movies distributed straight from vendor instead of to the DC, then to the store.

We got a boat load in today, So I bought HOFD today. (I know the PQ isnt that great) but I enjoyed the bootleg dvd I had which had HORRIBLE & I mean HORRIBLE PQ and anything is a step up from that (i'd have boguht the dvd before but it wasnt DTS (my bootleg was) and I want to hear it PCM 5.1 so I can deal with a less than stellar picture for $18 bucks (emp. disc.)
