1. Avatar
2. The Thing
3. Chronicles of Riddick
4. Batman Begins & The Dark Knight ( I Cheated)
5. Alien
6. Sin City
7. Predators
8. Transformers 1 and 2 (and again)
9. A draw between 2001 A Space Odyssey and Barry Lyndon, both gorgeous!
10. Underworld : Rise of the Lycans

I chose the ones that immediately popped into my head, but there are so many other really good transfers, but if I was showing someone Bluray for the first time, these would be my demo's.

I can't come up with 10, but 2 movies worth mentioning , well for me were.

1. Avatar........ For the entire 166 mins the superb transfer never falls below Excellent.

2. The African Queen (Special Restoration Edition) this transfer makes a lot of new releases look... well rather shabby.

Both of these are for me, Demo material for BD.

I like it, there's a couple of titles there that I haven't seen on blu-ray yet. I'll be sure to check those out!

I like it but it's not for everyone. But it is a reference quality Blu-Ray for PQ and AQ.

One of my favourites. Great looking and sounding Blu. Showed it recently to a non Beatles person and she loved it so much she ordered the Beatles Discography from Amazon.
Cheers,

Is that the AUS release or a different country?

Anyhoo, so many great PQ BD's, aside from the usual suspects: Pixars, Spidermans, Transformers, Iron mans etc, I'm Constantly impressed on the PQ of:

Avatar
No Country For Old Men
Ten Canoes
Samson & Delilah (2009)
The Searchers - 1956 Film puts a lot of newer releases to shame
Patton - Wow, another old release that puts newer ones to shame - Maybe a little too much DNR for some but it's still so vibrant and clean considering

Honourable Mentions:
Baraka
The Fall
The Host (Korean)
Apocalypto
Crank 1 and 2
Shoot Em Up
Troy
Gladiator Remastered
Man On Fire
Ghostrider
Both Hellboys
Hot Fuzz

A
It is the Australian Release, it really did look great, I watched it on my main screen (sometimes I watch a movie on my 27 inch computer monitor, which doesn't show a lot of detail) , yes the Miniatures of the boat looked really bad, and some of the closeups of Hepburn were soft, but it was still an impressive transfer, no spots lines etc, it was very nicely cleaned up.

Although it's not a release that i would come across when thinking about my selection.

While writing this i had a lightglobe moment.

Those of you who have seen Saw (the first one) there is a scene where they have to think about sawing off their foot with a small saw that looks the same in the first Mad Max film where the baddie at the end who also has the same conundrum.

peace
