How many Blu-rays did you get in 2012?

Not sure if this is addressed in another thread, but I was wondering how many bluray titles people acquired through purchases or as a gift in 2012?

I believe my number would be 254. Though I am a little embarrassed to mention my number, I know that it will probably be surpassed by others.

You were right, depending if you're counting skus or titles. I added 262 titles. Why is that embarrassing? These are good numbers here.

Aside from a handful of Blu-ray/DVD combo packages that I already owned, most of these were purchased over the past month, since I bought my first Blu-ray player and HDTV at the beginning of December. I don't know if there is a speed record for purchases, but I'm probably somewhere in the ranking.

I had some money set aside to buy several of my all-time favorite movies on Blu, I traded in the respective DVDs, I found used copies of several favorites, and I took advantage of some great Christmas sales. All in all, I probably spent an average of $7 per Blu in my collection.

This obviously packed a wallet punch, and there's no way that I'll even come close to this many purchases in one month ever again. I don't have to anymore, though, because most of the favorite movies that I made a priority of upgrading are now in my collection. January will be devoted to watching what I bought this month.

Well, I think they are good numbers too. However, people in my family would consider me crazy for wasting money.

A recap of my year goes like this, my Collection grew by 367! ... But I purchased 422 during the year cause I double dipped on 55 titles this year, via Remasters or Steelbooks! Trying to improve my Collection!! ... Finding a Better Job sure does help my addiction!! I started 2012 with 567! I end 2012 with 934, with my final purchase being The Mechanic!!

I also made 47 trips to the Theaters in 2012!!
