I'm having an issue with my Xbox One not detecting my Nacho Libre disc. It's the disc from the Jack Black Triple Feature Blu-ray set. I click on the Blu-ray app and eventually get a message from the blu-ray app that says we had an error detecting your disc and to please insert a Blu-ray or DVD. Other Blu-ray discs that I played on it work without issues. Also that disc takes a very very long time to load up on my PC and load up in PowerDVD Ultra 15 but eventually it plays. On my mom's Panasonic Blu-ray player the disc detects much faster than my PC and I can play it at least for the short amount of time testing it as I didn't not attempt to play it all the way through yet. The disc is in pristine condition and I don't see any visual defects on the disc. Anyone here have this same movie on Blu-ray test it out on their Xbox One to see if it will detect and play?

Wow, your Xbox has good taste.
But seriously, I've noticed strange things about Xbox and BDs. It also won't recognize any Twilight Time BD menu - no option to select. Weird. Annoying to say the least because when it play any disc the quality is extremely good. Try calling Xbox One support. |

Today I exchanged the set for another one and the disc in the replacement set gets recognized by my Xbox One and it loads faster in my PC as well. I also noticed that on the previous set, there was a light arc-shaped scratch near the center of the disc upon careful inspection whereas looking at it straight-on I didn't see any scratches. My mom's second Blu-ray player which is about 7 years old, did not recognize the disc from the previous set either and that's when I realized that there most likely is something wrong with the disc which turned out to be true.

I still use my PS3 for all my Blu Ray playback as I much MUCH prefer it over my XboxOne and standalone... with that said, what you described sounds awfully similar to what happened to my early SAW disc right before it completely died. It's likely you had a bad disc.

I don't blame the Xbox One here...
