Just got a card through the door from Royal Mail saying some blus I'd ordered from the US have been caught for import charges.
Fair enough. But what really gets me is the hand written note on the card beside the figure due (£11.68) saying "** CASH ONLY PLEASE BRING EXACT PAYMENT **" Now, if you're going to charge duty (and let's face it, most of that £11.68 will be a Royal Mail handling charge EDIT: £8 of it actually, grrr) at least be able to offer some change so that poor sods like me don't have to not only drive to the nearest delivery office, then queue to get served and then have to stump up the exact cash. Ah. I feel better for that rant. Last edited by mpreed; 01-18-2013 at 09:36 AM. Reason: Pointed out £8 of the £11.68 is the handling fee - and for that I expect to be able to get change! |
