According to the documentation for that specific blu-ray player model it doesn't appear to support HDMI CEC. Even if it did, worst case, it would turn off the TV when turning off the player but it shouldn't prevent the TV remote from working.
Specific model number for the TV would help in trying to diagnosis a potential issue. |

Well there's nothing in that manual either than would allude to way you might be experiencing that particular issue. Have you tried swapping out HDMI cables?
I'm presume you're using the player remote for the player and the tv remote for the tv and that the player is directly connected to the tv? The TV remote functions fine when the player is on? |
