France Télévisions Distribution have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray director Gilles Bourdos' latest film, Renoir (2012), starring Michel Bouquet, Christa Theret, Romane Bohringer, and Vincent Rottiers. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is May 2.
Last year, Renoir had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The Côte d'Azur. 1915. In his twilight years, Pierre-Auguste Renoir is tormented by the loss of his wife, the pains of arthritic old age and the terrible news that his son Jean has been wounded in action. But when a young girl miraculously enters his world, the old painter is filled with a new, wholly unexpected energy. Blazing with life, the radiantly beautiful Andrée will become his last model, and the wellspring of a remarkable rejuvenation.
Note: In the United States, Renoir will be distributed theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Since the film will be distributed theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn Films is there a chance that this blu ray will ever come out with other subtitels than French?
