This was a Nationwide price move from Samsung. BB and most if not all Samsung authorized dealers should be participating.

The only very slight difference is the 43" F4500 should be $329.99, not $299.99.

Our deal is slightly different.

Wal-Mart has been selling those same models for 10-20ish dollars less. It has been hard for me to resist purchasing a 43 or 51 inch model.

Money very well spent. The only thing better than the TV is the incredible price. We've sold a several 43" and 51" F4500s at the new low price in the past week and everyone is very happy.

Enjoy!

It's good to see plasmas still getting some love

This offer is very tempting. I'm looking to get a tv for my bedroom to replace an old tube tv.

Those are good prices for 720p TVs, but to get the optimum blu-ray's 1080p resolution, and any other 1080p content, everybody would want a 1080p HDTV.

Good point, ^^ but with a 43" and even 51" viewed at 5' away you can't tell if it's 720p or 1080p. The 720p pixel array on small screens look just like 1080p.

Oh no, there is a difference! A 1080p image is sharper, and more detailed. The majority of the networks broadcast their HD programming in 720p, and you can very easily tell the difference vs a true 1080p picture.

As a bedroom or 2nd TV, 43" 720p is just fine. I have a 42" 2010 Insignia (Samsung rebadge) plasma that became my secondary TV. At 6' you honestly almost cannot tell the difference and I have 20/15 vision. The difference is so minute. Any bigger and I would say yes, 720p vs 1080p will be noticeable. These are fantastic bang for the buck TV's. On my set, I've had ZERO burn-in or image retention, even after having fallen asleep with the DVD/Blu-ray menu on for 7+ hours; and I've done that many, many times. My 60" Panasonic VT60 on the other hand, has given me some minor IR, but it quickly goes away.

That's because broadcast TV transmitted over cable is heavy compressed and the cinema-photography is generally not as good as a Hollywood movie. Further, Broadcast TV is shot on video camera, whereas BD is mastered from film.

On a 43" and even 51" display 720p is plenty of resolution as the pixels are very densely packed. As you get into larger screen sizes the higher resolution panels defiantly deliver and more detailed image.

I picked up the last 43 inch Samsung at my best buy yesterday. Thank you for posting this thread. I needed a 2nd TV for my bedroom

I have a hopper and wanted a Joey for the bedroom but dish wants close to 180 dollars (installation, Joey console and virtual access ) I told them no thanks
I hear PS4 will be coming out with a virtual Joey and would rather go that route

Nope, you can easily tell it is 720p and not 1080p. The pixels, particularly on plasmas, is very noticeable and you can see the individual pixels and the spaces between them. It makes for a very jagged image at times.

Sure, if you get right up to it, not from 6' away. I will take a plasma 43" 720p over a LCD 1080p of similar size any day. LCD's just look artificial to me.

I would avoid those two models altogether, and get a 1080 p plasma.

I still have the tv in the box. Wondering if I should return it now. But 1080p plasma are hard to find, especially 43 inches

That 50" 1080p model would be a perfect bedroom tv. After having to go back to my 42" in my bedroom it's jarring how small that is. I used to think 32" was the go to size for a bedroom, lol.

If you're second guessing your purchase why don't you just look at the reviews online? It'll put to rest the doubts on your mind.
