Hopefully Canal also reformat the disk so you don't have to sit through forced adverts for chocolate like we had to.

It will most like be a proper Steelbook but it will be black and have a stupid 'Steelbook Collection' banner at the top

The banner is a letdown.

Doesn't appear to have English subs.

Does anyone know whether the German subs are forced?

Even with the banner, it's still infinitely better than that garbage Play.com steelbook!

Yeah, that's a given. I just have a hard time justifying a double-dip for a (subpar) case only, especially after I factor in shipping costs.

I could swap discs, but this German disc is also a letdown with no English subs.

The German disc is pretty good, it loses the commentaries but gains two interviews and best of all it doesn't have adverts for chocolate and chewing gum when you load it. Also the UK disc won't load in my Oppo 83 any more, selecting the film jams it solid and it can only be ejected after a power off. Selecting scene 2 and skipping backwards works. The fault must be an Oppo firmware one as I tried a new copy today.

The stickerbook is going for like 30 GBP on Play.com so it might be worth it. I quite like the look of this version, as loong as there's no German writing on the back. Might have to wait and see.

I don't own the stickerbook and have no interest in it. I own the regular Canadian amaray case version: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Sourc...Blu-ray/24591/

I could be talked into getting this German steelbook and switching in the Canadian disc (because I do want English subtitles), but paying ~$36 (after shipping) just for a steelbook case with an annoying banner is a bit of a tough sell for me at the moment. I dunno. I do really like this film though, so I guess I'll pre-order it for now.
