The PS3 Eye, is nothing more than a digital camera. People can already do video chat on PC with free AIM or Yahoo messenger software, with any web camera. As for Eye of Judgement, it's a neat concept for a card game, however it's a very niche market. Eye of judge ment will only apeal only to dorks of the highest degree. I played Magic the Gathering in High School, it was played only by dorks, like me. I stoped after highschool, even then I had no desire to get the best cards.

PS3 eye will be no more of a gimmick than the previous EyeToy.

If the market for this is "only for dorks" then I guess Sony will have quite a customer base and another winner!

Well, gimmicks can be fun too. I had the Eyetoy, and it got used for Wii-like party games long before the Wii was ever announced. The Eye already has a couple fun sounding games available in Europe, and a few really cool screensavers. Maybe it'll make more sense when those titles hit the U.S. PSN Store. Sure, a lot of that could be done with a regular webcam, but the Eye at least has double the framerate of any webcam I've heard of, which helps with motion-controlled games.

That, and apparently it has a pretty good built-in microphone array for voice chat in games, not to mention video chat for games that support it, if you didn't already have a webcam.

you shot your self it the foot with that one ( playing Magic in high school nevertheless lol "GAY") I would keep $hit like that to your self lol

Actually I use the excercise program that the EyeToy had. It's pretty good and pretty fun.(for an excersise program mind you)

Eyetoy can do a lot of things that can make games more interesting. Map your head unto your rock band guy, videochat like they already have on Xbox, in-game. That sort of thing.

Ya, but magic is HUGE all around the world. I played pretty heavily here and in Japan. If eye of judgement were to get that popular it would be over and PS3 would dominate everything.

However, I don't see eye of judgement doing anything near what magic has done.

you do know in most areas you cant find the stuff in store many are sold out
part if it was a Wii efect aka under shiping the other is its fun like many CCG
i mean games like magic you dont want ppl to SEE you play but are fun now you can play and no one will know :P

Nothing like toning up so when the (inflatible) honeys come over you can look good!

Um not sure my rockstar fantasy has my face on it. That would be more reality than im looking for. LOL. I got more of a face for a radio dj sim game.

I love this game and I NEVER got into Magic or anything like it before. I just bought 4 booster packs yesterday.

It looks like it might be successful here as well.

Some people call the PS Eye a gimmick. Well, a gimmick worked for the Wii, so why shouldn't it work for the PS3?

BTW, the camera can run at 120fps! I don't know of PC or Xbox 360 webcams that can do that (and especially for $40). The editing software is quite interesting as well.

Good for the PS3 to have these different types of games and "gimmicks". If all games are the same, it would be boring and you'll lose interest with your console really fast.

Video chatting is another way of communicating with my family/friends down south. It's fun and futuristic (a couple of decades ago this was just in movies?)

The new Karaoke game will make use of the PS Eye as well. Just imagine, this thing can even launch your rock star career! hehehe

Hopefully, if PS Eye can connect to Remote play...I can even check the security of my home, when I'm out-of-town.
