What power amp to pair with Onkyo NR5010?

I see there is an Onkyo M5010 2 channel power amp.. but it is only 75w..

Any suggestions on what 2 channel power amp to pair with the NR5010 for 11.2 sound?

seems like overkill to get a 9 channel power amp though

i only need 2 for my front wides..

the M5010 looks ok except its far less wattage than the NR5010

what speakers will you be driving with the amp? if it's just for the wides, doubt you would use up all 75 watts, unless of course the speakers are power hungry and you drive them really loud

I agree plus even if the 5010 is a beast it will not be putting out 145 W when driving 9 channels so the difference isn't as big as it would seem. Plus I would guess that they gave it the same # for that exact purpose, so unless you have very difficult speakers to drive, which I'd doubt since it's for heights or wides, IMO you should be more than fine.

Edit: For $200 this M-282 seems like what you need and people have been real happy with refurbs from A4L

I agree on the numbering.. i called Onkyo... they were "unsure" haha i found that a bit ... strange
