"Doctor Who" by far. Torchwood was 2nd, but the abysmal "Miracle Day" series pushed that down into 3rd place, with "The Sarah Jane Adventures" now taking 2nd.

"K9" technically, isn't a proper spin-off since it isn't made by the BBC, and featured the Mark 1 version of K9 only briefly before he "regenerated" in the pilot episode.

Personally, I don't count "K9" as a spin-off at all.

to be honest neither do I but wasn't sure how other fans felt so thought I threw it in there

I'd put Torchwood a decently close second. They just need to reproduce something more akin to Season 2 or Children of Earth should they have another go-around.

Love Doctor Who. Saw a few episodes of Torchwood but couln't get into it. Got my kids hooked on Sarah Jane Chronicles. Could never bring myself to watch K9.

Am I allowed to say that Miracle day was an absolute abomination.

I had never seen Torchwood but i saw the ad for Miracle Day and watched it and it was simply amazing. I then bought all the series and i love it. Series 2 was superb as well. I don't see the problem with MD at all but people always complain about it. Then again its follows series 3's way of a big story arc rather than more individual episodes. "Monster of Week" eps and all that jazz

We'll have to agree to disagree about Miracle Day which I see as the nadir though I do agree with you as regards series 2. I'd probably say Children of Earth is the pinnacle though as I haven't watched Torchwood for some time my mind might be playing tricks.

I hated it as well. It was convoluted, it completely reconnected Jack's immortality. I mean seriously the key to it is simply his blood, and that can be transferred to anyone and suddenly they are immortal to? That was not how the Doctor explained it to Jack at all originally.
