Can PS4 get it's own forum? - Blu-ray Forum

This one is getting cluttered with PS3 and PS4 threads..

this is probably better suited in the feedback forum. but it'd be cool to hear if the mod's have a plan for the ps3/ps4 sections. if not, are they open to suggestions?

I'm fine keeping all PS console together as well personally. For threads I don't like I just don't click on them.

It would be easy to put a PS4 section right next to the PSP/Vita area (that isn't split).

By just looking at it, it seems we're at blu-ray.com and not at a gaming forum. Gaming machines that play blu's should go here in one sub forum. If the 720 pays blu's, then prepare to make room.

Yes this is the Bluray.com forum, but there's also separate forums for lots of things. The bluray PC stuff isn't in here is it?

I have no problem with the idea of creating a separate forum for PS3 and PS4 stuff. Especially if there are those who have zero interest in the PS4. Cluttering is not necessarily a good thing.

Would like to read a lot of the PS4 threads, but they are getting mixed in with PS3 ones.. Would just be easier to separate them.

I'm ok with leaving them together, at least for the time being, seeing how we're getting some cross-platform games like Diablo III and Watch_Dogs.

If there were two different forums, you'd need two threads for each of those games.

Maybe the solution is just to mark each original topic with a game name with [PS3] or [PS4] to make sure people don't get them confused, at least for a year or so until the last of the new PS3 software gets pushed out the door.

Maybe in the future, we can get PS4 icon added as an alternative? Or similarly a PS3 icon. That way it'll be easier to distinguish between the two consoles in a single forum.

I was thinking of having the main forum changed to the official PS4 forum while the PS3 will get its own subforum, seeing as how it's the console that's gonna be phased out.

Why does any of this matter!? No one's posting in the majority of the threads displayed on the page. This makes as much sense as people complaining about staying on topic. Like someone's actually going to jump to a random page in a thread and be confused about what's being typed. This is crazy!

I vote for no. Eventually it will work itself out as this will be the last big year for the PS3 and topics will dwindle as they increase for the PS4. I don't see it being too overwhelming yet and besides many games are multiplatform and would be redundant to make separate forums for

I get what you're saying. It makes no sense to have PS3 games and PS4 games in the same forum. But god forbid you say it should get it's own forum opposed to it's on SUB-forum.
