This is already out on blu-ray (release in July 2007). Is this a new transfer or something?

Didn't realise this had already been released.

This could be a new transfer, or just simply a re-release with different cover art.

Will update the thread whenever I have more info.

I very much doubt Warners are going to get much more out of the masters than they have already. Maybe some new extras? Although I think it is more likely it will just be the same disc in a new sleeve.

I bought it yesterday. I'm hoping if it is re-issued it has A Warrior's Journey on it so I can offload my DVD

I had put off buying this but I picked it up the HMV 2 for £15 offer with The Killers Live, The Orphanage and Apollo 13. If it is just a standard re-issue then I don't mind. If there are other extra features or a lossless soundtrack then I may have to upgrade

Its on the US and AUS Blu-Ray already, is it not on the UK release? weird.

Out 15th April. Hopefully it'll be the 40th anniversary edition that the US is getting.

It is on amazon for £13.99, highly unlikely it's the same set. All we get extra is a UV copy!

Same old transfer, I got a reply from Warner Bros, although it did hint we'd get the US 40th anniversary edition this year, although I'm not sure if they actually meant us.

Maybe, but that would make it the second re-release of the film this year.
