PlayStation 4 Launch Lineup and 2014 games

Playstation 4 is coming this Holiday season. Most likely in late October or early November. Here's what the launch line up looks like right now.

PlayStation 4 Launch

Knack - this game had the most gameplay and looks further along in development than any other game showed. Mascot/Platformer titles seem to go hand in hand with console launches. Also developed by the lead architect of the PS4, so it's probably been in development longer than any other next-gen game.

Killzone:Shadowfall - GG official website mentions are excited Sony gave them the opportunity to make this game for PS4 launch.

DriveClub - "aiming for Launch" according to the developers.

The Witness - announced as a Launch title, and exclusive to PS4

Watch Dogs - will be on all consoles. Day 1 on PS4.

Battlefield 4 - will be on all consoles. Except maybe Wii U. My guess is that Sony didn't want EA showing off BF4 because they wanted Killzone to have the spotlight to itself.

COD: Modern Warfare 4 - will be on all consoles. Always comes out in November. Might come out the same day as PS4.

Diablo 3 - An older PC port shouldn't take too long to develop for PS4.


Other ports: Madden 25, FIFA 14




2014

Destiny - Sept 2014? Halo games always came out in Sept, so thats my best bet.

Deep Down - looked more like a tech demo or target render, rather than something that will be finished in the next 9 months.

InFamous: Second Son - Lack of gameplay shown indicates its not as far along as other games shown.

Uncharted 4 - can't see them missing out on holiday 2014 since Uncharted 3 was finished in 2011. That gives them a full 3 years of dev time, and they usually released on only 2 years dev time. I think we'll get a teaser at E3, and a full blown reveal at Spikes VGA this year. I won't speculate on Gran Turismo 6 or the next Final Fantasy because their devs are notorious for delays.... but Naughty Dog won't miss Q4 2014. You can take it to the bank.
