It was very interesting indeed!

Loznitsa is familiar with archive footage and has an eye for it, he knows how to make something powerful with that kind of material. There is no narration, no interviews and no modern footage, which makes everything even more sombre and somehow monumental, although not in a way of a tribute or homage, it's clear that it's not positive propaganda, but rather a form of condemnation, which the film maybe doesn't make evident until the end.
