Cool. I'm in, if only just to see the bar scene in HD.

Great, I don't have to import the US version. I think they will probably use the same transfer (the same one also on the R1 DVD). It's a good version of the movie, but I would still like to see the other cuts of the movie, apparently at least one longer version exists:
From imdb: "There are five different versions of this film, with various running times from 99 up to 140 minutes. Director William Peter Blatty disowned all versions except one: his approved cut runs 118 minutes and is the version that was originally released theatrically in the USA. This version is available on DVD." |

They've gone for the 'Clockwork Orange' style poster for the cover.

It's ok I guess, infinitely better than the US blu-ray cover. The movie had the worst poster art and this one at least looks well designed even though it's totally misrepresenting the movie.

The Second Sight art might not be representitive of the film, but is great art, and I'm happy they used this one. It's a hell of a lot better than the US blu-ray cover.

In fact, there is a poster with that specific artwork. ![]() And being a big fan of the movie, this image does suit a sequence that happens much later in the film. |
