YouShop Pricing Changes

I've never used YouShop, although I have an account, and they just sent this email regarding changes in pricing.

We’re getting in touch to let you know about some changes we are having to make to our YouShop services, due to the continued impact of COVID-19 on airlines globally. As earlier advised, many flights were suspended or stopped altogether, resulting in reduced cargo capacity. This has meant that the airlines we work with to deliver for you increased their airfreight charges and we had to introduce a surcharge.

Unfortunately, we don’t expect the situation to return to normal for some time and therefore we have had to review our services.

The following changes to our YouShop services will apply from 1 November 2020:

• The current COVID-19 surcharge of NZD$2.00 per 500g will be removed
• Freight on USA and UK standard shipping will increase to NZD$7.50 per 500g
• To help offset this increase in freight charges, we are reducing the YouShop handling fee to NZD$10.00 per parcel
• We will be discontinuing our YouShop USA economy service
• The delivery target for standard shipping from the USA and UK will be 8 – 12 days from payment date

I haven't used them in a long time, but I do have the Dawn of the Dead 4k going to my UK address..

I guess it's good they are at least still continuing the service rather than just taking the easy way out and shutting down.
