Project X, the recent addition to the "found footage" genre, is expected to street later this June on the 26th. Produced by The Hangover's Todd Phillips, this mockumentary focuses on three loser high schoolers throwing a party to try to be cool.

Same. Did you see it in theaters? I made sure not to miss this one, and was dying of laughter through and through.

Didn't understand all the hatred for this movie (critic wise at least). It was exactly what it was advertised to be, and done pretty well as far as I'm concerned. I had a lot of fun with it. Will definitely pick up the Blu-Ray.

I went into this film with high expectations (it takes a lot to get me into a theater opening weekend) and I came out pleasantly surprised - it was better than I had expected and it's been a long time since a movie suprised me like that. This is an easy day-1 purchase for me.

Looks like mods edited title to exclude the original June 26th date, but I'll take you up on the 19th, instead. I go by what my job's computer says, and they're updated weekly, so I'll check Tuesday.

Just looked at my job's computer, and it's still the 26th for this version; apparently there was a title from 1968 called "Project X", too, coming out on June 19th.

I'll be renting this when it comes out. I hear that the first half of this movie is awful, but that the second half makes up for it. I doubt I'll love it, but I'm hoping for something that's at least entertaining.

However they decide to do it, both releasing same day is smart/deceitful marketing; I can already see people at my job, mostly parents or clueless friends picking up the wrong copy of the movie. Sounds ludicrous, as the covers are completely different, and I myself would check, but I don't doubt there'll be that one person who got confused. Lol.
