Default Wreck-It Ralph?

Does anyone know of any special edition of Wreck-it Ralph coming out? This includes every country not just America by the way. The only one ive noticed is the Amazon one, but I'm not sure if that's a slipcover, region free, or anything else.

Thanks.

It's deemed the Ultimate Collecters Edition but it just seems to be a standard 4 disk pack http://www.amazon.com/Wreck-It-Ralph.../dp/B00A7OJ0DC.

That version of Wreck-It Ralph isn't really a special edition or exclusive to Amazon. It's the equivalent of Disney's release of Finding Nemo: the regular release had the 2D blu plus a dvd, while the more expensive "Ultimate Collector's Edition" version has the 3D blu, 2D blu, dvd, digital copy, and a different slipcover.

It's not an Amazon exclusive either. It's just the 3D version of the movie. With Viva Metal Box pretty much dead, don't expect one from BB. I could see them selling an exclusive lenticular cover of the 3D version just like they did with Frankenweenie. Another possibility is a version with a lunch box included.

I could also see a Steelbook version being sold at Futureshop for this, but right now there aren't any real special editions or exclusives that I'm aware of it.

I really doubt Best Buy is going to have exclusive rights to the lenticular 3D covers in the future. That Frankenweenie situation really felt like a one time thing to me. At my local store the lenticular slipcovers were in very poor condition at arrival and many people scratched discs in theirs. It seemed to me like maybe Disney was testing out a new manufacturing facility that had terrible usable yields or that maybe a natural disaster struck when they were making Frankenweenie sets which destroyed most of the slipcovers. Then they just dumped the remaining usable ones on Best Buy and made the normal embossed one for everywhere else. It did not seem like Best Buy went out of their way to get that exclusive and they didn't even bother putting an exclusive sticker on it.

I would guess Wreck It Ralph will come with a lenticular slipcover everywhere, because Disney actually has faith in it, unlike Frankenweenie which it seems like they tried to ignore. I would like to see some exclusive or collector's version of Wreck It Ralph, but I think the only change we will see from the originally announced versions is that they will probably slap a little sticker on the front denoting that it is winner of the Oscar for best animated film (hopefully anyway).

I had high hopes for a Viva metal case for it until the damned lawsuit happened.

The patent is for metal packaging for DVD's and Blu-rays, so now matter the differences in design between the Metal Box and the Steelbook, Viva would still be infringing on that patent.

I cannot fathom how that's possible, it's took broad. That's like saying viva owns plastic for movies and games, so no one is allowed to make BD cases.

This is coming out in Australia -

http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/d...edition/680847

Thanks to NickMate, we know the following - Confirmed slip with a cut out in the middle. Ralphs face is on the cover art underneath. No embossing and unlikely to have logo removable as a sticker
