This one looks like it'll be a good deranged laugh, unable to get to a cinema showing over Easter so I'm planning on blind buying this one.

not that it's a bad movie, but I'm surprised that it made it all the way to the final five Oscar nominated foreign films ... the movie felt very mainstream - which again isn't a put down, it just seemed different from the usual run of the mill foreign films that the Academy likes.

I absolutely loved it that it got me to watch it twice.

They are all 6 random stories and none of the connect with each other but each one has something to look forward to. They were all great.

Enjoyable, and certainly for fans of Spanish-language hits like Sleep Tight, The Secret in Their Eyes or any of Almodovar's films (generally his more recent ones though). Some bits were better than others. My favourite was the car one (I won't spoil it).

Me, too.

So far, this is my favorite film I've seen at the theater this year. (But I am seeing "Man from Reno" this weekend and have high hopes for that.)

Very enjoyable film, though certain episodes are stronger than others. Might pick up this release instead of the US disc.

This will probably be the best film released in Australia for me this year I loved Pasternuk and the wedding story what disappointed me was the 5 story about the father trying to protect his son from going to jail it just didn't seem to fit as it was too dark

Wild Tales Blu-ray REVIEW

Outstanding project and a terrific Blu-ray release

The talent that was gathered for Wild Tales is enormously impressive -- some of the biggest Argentine actors (Ricardo Darín/Oscar Martínez!!), composer Gustavo Santaolalla (the first big Argentine project for him), etc. The film is also lensed by arguably the best young cinematographer in Argentina whose work I have been following very closely for quite some time: Javier Julia. I highly recommend getting a copy of Tristán Bauer's Blessed by Fire about the Falkland Islands war. Top film
