PS3 - PSN Digital Question?

Hey guys, am in the process of moving & will be without Internet during the move. (No idea when I will lose Internet )

I've never tried to play any PS3 PSN game without Internet before. Around 40% of all my games were bought through PS Store. Will I still be able to play my games that are downloaded? thanks in advance!

Also I do have a second PS3 console in a similar situation. Would those games work too offline?

I think that it ultimately comes down to the PS+ factor.

Any games that you got FREE via PS+ should require internet verification before allowing you to play. Any games that you paid any amount for (regardless of PS+ sales or not) should be fine.

In short... as long as you paid money for the content, it should work without PSN connectivity.

I think free content from PS+ can be played offline since the games run on a timer based on your PS+ subscription. At worst, you may need to resubscribe or log back on PSN if the timer ends. I think this works with PSvita games on PS+, do not require an internet connection to play the games.

My PS+ timer runs out 2019 so I think I'm safe there. Every game I own digitally has been booted up online at least once. I dunno if that matters. Also am not sure if I sign in offline.. will the + be next to my GT?

I guess I could pull the plug on the Internet & see.

I'm the same way. Mine runs out in 2018. When Gamestop was doing its $30 Plus subscription card, I bought three years worth.

I'm paid through the end of 2019 as well. Between Black Friday in the US and Boxing Day in Canada, I just couldn't pass on $30/year for 6 years considering that I own a PS4 and will want to be able to play online with it for it's lifespan. The free stuff with my PS3 and possible eventual VITA just makes it that much sweeter.

I never realized how much I was missing out on until I got ps+ back in December. If I had known I would be like you guys with a ps+ subscription until 2019.

Some of the PSN games can be kind of a pain without internet access. For example, I've played High Velocity Bowling at my parents house where I have the network disabled on their PS3 (b/c their DSL is so slow it isn't really acceptable for anything other than e-mail and web browsing) and it works but it tries to connect at certain points so we had to occasionally cancel dialogs to continue. Just that sort of thing. I've only tried it with some of the earlier PSN type games also (nothing from PS+).

It's looking like end of June I'd have to cancel net but have some friends/family with net. Bummer not being able to actually play then but at least I'll be able to add the free games to my account even without a system through my tablet.

I know at least one Capcom game had(has?) to phone home in order to play. The Double Impact collection with Final Fight and Magic Sword had(has?) DRM on it.

Ok so I decided to clean up some space.

I have one PSN Account. With PS Plus active until May 2019

Here is an example of what I am looking at. (actually multiple games show this number)

XCOM Enemy Unknown bought Free with Plus - Expires 17 days

I did have trouble signing in & account information settings is under maintenance.
