Went back and forth on this one, but finally went with with Hulk on a whim. I just think he'd keep coming and coming no matter what Thor threw at him.

I'd have to say that the Hulk would win! Regardless if you gave Thor magical armor etc, it has been shown time and time again that the Hulk has laid Asgard to waste!

The Hulk wasn't mad enough, and by the way are the Olympians and Asgardians really gods, or a highly impervious alien race posing as gods (as alluded to by the Asgardians in the Thor movie)?

Both are true gods, but the Asgardians aren't immortals like the Olympians. They can live for thousands of years, but eventually they get old and die.

PS: The Hulk looses his strength everytime when he gets punched by Zeus.

as for Thor vs Hulk haven't we seen this countless times in comics with Hulk smashing Thor and even picking up mjolnir?

When Stan Lee first created Thor he was made to be stronger then Hulk and due to writing and popularity Thor is written like a feather weight against him.
