Default Receiver on screen display

I've seen when I went into best buy if there was a movie on it would say thx, Dolby digital etc on the reciver screen mine only says hdmi one why doesn't mine say those things and I also have a button that says program and I can change it to say standard or pro logic which one is better

I see that on my receiver I have the option to put it on straight or cinema dsp or pro logic ii which is the best thing I should put it on I have the yamaha rx 473

helps to know what receiver you have? what bluray player? etc

...we could just guess, but that's no fun.

It could be that is just what they had the inputs named, I recently just purchased a Yamaha HTiB and the inputs where just named HDMI1, HDMI2, etc, but via the on screen settings I was able to rename them to what was actually connected to that input.

It could be that is all they really did. Maybe look at you're receivers settings.

its all about what type of info you sending. but yeah just test out the display press a few buttons
