Default Odd issue with Samsung F8500

So I've had an odd issue occurring intermittently with my 64" F8500 lately.

Once in a while, when turning the TV on, the picture will be very bright (much noticeably brighter than the settings I have it at).

If I go to the picture settings when this occurs and adjust any of the settings, the picture, itself, does not change. I can move the numbers up and down on various color settings, brightness settings, etc., but there is no change to the picture.

If I turn the TV off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on again, the picture will then look correct, and if I attempt to adjust the settings, they change as they should.

This just happens randomly when turning the TV on after it hasn't been used for a while, and it's not necessarily every time, though I think it is becoming a bit more frequent than before.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be, and what fix there is for it, if any? Is this something that I should expect to get worse and eventually be permanent?

Thanks. Hopefully it's not something that won't turn into a major issue. I did get a 5 year extended warranty on the TV when I bought it, so at least I have that if worse comes to worse.

Mine has done that two or three times in the two years that I've owned it. It definitely has concerned me every time that it's happened, but it's been infrequent enough that I'm not overly worried.
