zavvi are releasing another commando steelbook?!?! they already released one in 2013 which has better artwork as well

zavvi really are the sluts of the steelbook world

What's with the erasing of the ammo in every new Commando steelbook? I was hoping these omissions were some temporary placeholder thing but apparently it's not. Is it some politically correct nonsense? Kind of ironic considering how violent the film is. I really like that art but I'm not supporting stupid censorship.

I wonder if the AmazonJP steelbook will still have Vernon Wells on the back? I don't mind paying a little more as I prefer that one over this, but if the back art changes I would switch to Zavvi.

I really hate that the Director's Cut replaces Alyssa Milano's classic line "Not nearly as nice as watching him smash your face in" with the much less aggressive "Not nearly as nice as watching him kick your ass"

On the DVD I always watch the theatrical cut up to that point before switching to the DC.

I would have thought that with branching there'd easily be more than enough space for both cuts on the blu ray...

Yes, a great year for Schwarzenegger fans. Hopefully Twins, True Lies and a proper release of T2 is coming this year as well.

Sadly, I'm convinced True Lies and The Abyss will never see the light of blu. They never even got an anamorphic widescreen DVD. We might as well hold out another 10 years for a 4k blu release.

True Lies got a high-def release on...D-Theater. But it's an old master, obviously.
