Ps3 personal informations - Blu-ray Forum

I'm about to sell a YLOD Ps3 without the HDD which I'm gonna keep, so I want to know if personal informations are stored only on the HDD.

You should be fine. When the person puts in the new HDD it will ask them to format it, then when they get to the XMB they'll have to put in all new info.

Your hard drive will get formatted when placed in a new PS3 anyway. The ps3 id is saved in the hd and if it doesnt match it will request to format
