Since HDMI sends a digital signal, you do not need to have shielding on the cable. I think gizmodo did a test where the monoprice HDMI cables did not have any problems until about 35 feet in length, so as long as you're not trying to run any longer than ~11m, the monoprice will be fine, and save you much $$!

i have tried monster and a couple of other brands i see no difference besides price . i tend to lean toward Gefen cables and switchers among many other of thier products . I also enjoy thier warranty its flawless. I had a port on an hdmi switcher go bad and i called and they shipped a new one out and i got it next day , very nice product and support . check them out if you like . www.gefen.com
