Default PS3 miniSD support

I'm not at home so I can't check this on my PS3 60gb. Does the PS3 60gb support miniSD? The reason why I am asking is because I want to purchase the new LG Chocolate, which supports miniSD cards (4gb) and I would like to transfer video to the card using my PS3/PC.

Xerious,
Why would I need an adapter? Couldn't I plug the miniSD card into the PS3 and connect to my PC and transfer files?

0_o what?

I think the PS3 runs miniSD cards fine, if not any standard USB card reader should run on the PS3.
