Default Disc bendability? how much a factor?

Hey everyone , how are you? if this is in the wrong thread I apologize. New to posting still

my question is

How much can you bend a bluray when trying to get it out of its spindle clip? I just tried getting a few discs out of an Elite 6 holder case and the disc bent about a 1/2 inch and a 1/25 inch up and my ocd kicked in. Just looking to see if anyone has bent a disc alot and were either upset the disc didnt' work or surprised it did

thanks !

If you bend it any more than 11.3 mm then it contributes to the lifespan reduction of the disc, the more you bend it more than 11.3 mm then the lower the lifespan becomes.

What what say what?

I always do my best to press on the middle holder and remove the Blu-ray disc without bending it at all. I mean, I've probably bent a handful when removing them, but only to a minimal extent.

Hey Guys thanks for the reply!, Hey Owl, I do press down on the center but these Spindles are stubborn and don't want to give enough to make it easy

Only thing that's ever been difficult for me to take out of it's case is the Evil Dead Blu-Ray. I was afraid of breaking it.

The discs that are hard to get out are those digibook or clear hard plastic hubs. I wish they would stop producing them.

yeh its amazing how Some cases have no give when you push the center in to release the disc. Sometimes the Disc will bend and I freak that I 'm hurting the playabilty of the disc. Never thought of it till I started running into Elite cases with the Discs back to back and they were so hard to press in the tab and get out

Never, but with those digibook style cases, I worry about breaking the case.

I've never had a problem removing any disc from any sort of case or packaging (although I never owned the original version of the Back to the Future trilogy).

Only issue I've had was taking out all the discs from the Bond 50 set. That took almost fifteen minutes.
