Canada The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey steelbook 2D [Futureshop exclusive] (Canada)

http://community.futureshop.ca/t5/Mo...ve/td-p/411333

This is rumoured to be coming (but it seems like a slam dunk).

It's also listed over at high def ninja.

I'll pass and wait for an extended edition (even if no steelbook is released for one), but I figure some of you are interested.

Order link: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ.../m2204072.aspx

Does not appear to be 3D.

Awesome! Hopefully the U.S. gets some sort of steelbook. Otherwise I will have to go in on a GB for this.

Evidently the US is getting a digibook from Wal-Mart. I'd be surprised it Best Buy or Target didn't get some sort of exclusive steelbook.

This is true however, The Dark Knight Rises had a steel from BB and two digibooks from target....

Hopefully it gets better art than that pre-order page has. I'm really hoping Canada or US Get the German Gandalf cover.

Really not happy this doesn't include the 3D - just like with Men In Black. Much prefer the look of the French release (and it includes 3D), with the exception of the French writing on the cover.

I only ever saw one digibook from Target. Do you have a link to the second one?

There are two different ones...one with Batman on the front and one with Baine.

Seems the one with Batman is not up on their site anymore though.

No, the Digibook was lenticular and you could see both images depending on the angle you turned it. Wasn't 2 separate digi's

Around the 1:10 mark, he picks it up and starts turning it.

Unboxing

Never knew that. I guess Target made it confusing since at one pint they had both in their database.

I think they just wanted to show what both images would look like and didn't have a better way than to just show them both individually. Then the confusion stemmed from there.

I would add to that stating that, technically(and I use that term very loosely), there were to different "versions" of the cover as one showed Batman and one showed Bane, before you started moving the image...ie looking at the digibook straight on.
Of course the end result was the same.

meh. I'm only interested in the Steelbook if it's extended. I'll pass on this one.
