Default Taiyo Yuden exits optical disc market
Taiyo Yuden, manufacturer of the very first CD-R in 1988 have announced they are exiting the recordable media market.

Pretty sad news, for a long time Taiyo were known for being some of the highest quality and longest-lasting discs on the market.
