I see that in the US Sony owns the rights ZDT while in Canada Alliance owns the rights to ZDT. Are there many differences between the quality of the same film put out by two different studios in two different countries. Is this question to difficult to answer? I thought as Martin Liebman and Bill Hunt (Digital Bits) that the Video and Audio were both worth a 5.
Killer Joe was the same situation as (ZDT) two different studios put the movie out the same movies in the Canada and the US. Killer Joe had great Video and Audio as well. I would like to get input as I don't know wether there are usually differences in audio quality between Canada and the US. Last edited by Canada; 05-10-2013 at 04:23 AM. |

When it comes to Alliance (eOne), they usually have the exact same audio and video as their US counterparts.
As for things like Killer Joe, VVS Films has that.. and their sound is different. The US version has DTS-HD sound while the Canadian release has Dolby TrueHD. However, I cannot compare the video, but from the screencaps, they seem to look the same. Hope that helps. |

With my experience, DTS-HD is usually better than Dolby TrueHD, so that would mean Killer Joe's audio is better on the US release from Lionsgate.
