AMAZING It is really a big surprise.

It is old movie title (like Anand, Chupke Chupke, Golmaal and Bawarchi) we can hope for the best.
BUT as it is surprise release even without Pre-order; we have to make sure that the Disc inside is Blu-ray not DVD hehehe LOL

Anybody please help with the screen captures.

Even though I don't like this film as much as Kala Patthar or Zanjeer, I'll be happy to pick up a non-screwed up BD. I just hope it doesn't go the Gupt/Vidhata route.

When did that start with Indian critics using "powerful packed dialogues"? It's so silly hearing reviews of Indian movies when they mention this.

I would also like to see SHAKTI on Blu-ray.

As Cheesy as it may sound, the dialogues were sometimes the main USP of a movie in 70's, this trend carried through to the 80's bollywood cinema. While, for the average viewer not native to the languages, the impact of those dialogues are minimized through the translation, hence you might feel its not powerful or quirky that they proclaim to be so. In This movie Amitabh has a dramatic scene titled 'Maa' which became really famous and at his concerts re-created the magic of this movie with that particular scene.

Awesome bro! Looks good. I'm sure Eagle would have the stock standard cover they do with most movies, very clustered and full of writing all over.

hmm, I will be a bit more qualified than prepress Todd, have you seen any 70's bollywood cinema? If not, I would say its certainly an acquired taste. If so, this is probably amongst the better offerings of the type of bollywood cinema made during that period.

Deewaar's a melodramatic and archetypal tale about two brothers on opposite sides of the law. Main strengths are an excellent lead performance from Amitabh Bachchan (supported very well by Shashi Kapoor - his role is also very good but more compromised to commercial song n dance considerations) and has several memorable scenes. The film was also unusual in its time for its depiction of the live-in relationship between Amitabh and Parveen Babi's characters. It's great Bollywood cinema if you get what I mean and I would definitely recommend it as a check it out movie. Heck, you've seen Ravi Teja crapfests, what're you worried about?

hahaha, True
As we are talking about its Blu-ray here I thought he is concerned for that and not expected that he is asking about the movie as it is well known movie for mostly people (Indian). It is my error that I didn't notice he is from Hong Kong so definitely he was concerned about the movie.

Can anybody please confirm the true source for BD release?

AMAZING, if they have (Eagle) processed this movie in mannered way and the quality is good like Bawarchi, Golmaal, Anand, Chupke Chupke, I can see Eagle over many reputed companies in future.

They haven't changed the design, same design was used for Eagle DVD but did few adjustments (placements) of objects to fit on Blu-ray cover.
