Default It would be ideal to see at least one standalone BLU-RAY player for $299.99

BLU-RAY sales might be good this Christmas season but they would be excellent if a BLU-RAY standalone player was priced $100 cheaper then the $399 PS3 machine. A $299 list price on a standalone 1080P BLU-RAY player would be ideal. For the DVD format several standalone players are half the price of the PS2 machine.

If the Blu-ray supporters really want to win this battle, they should take their promotional dollars and subsidize a lower-priced player.

If they don't, they might discover that HD DVD will have a big holiday season.

And that might make them feel a little blue.”

Wasn't Funai supposed to come up with the inexpensive player? If so, Walmart more than likely will carry them.

i would never spend less then $400 for a Blu-Ray player especially during this format war because the more money you spend the better quality you will get plus the more money you spend on a blu-ray player the more support for blu-ray
