Garfield’s Pet Force 3D Blu-ray (2009) [Region B Locked]

I didn’t see a thread for this so I thought I’d conjure one up. I ran across Go Find Fun’s YouTube review of this and it looked interesting so I snagged the Spanish Blu off eBay, under the title Garfield y su Pandilla. This was apparently released direct to video in the US but was released theatrically in 3-D in some European countries. The animation is low-budget but vividly and quite psychedelically designed, the story is expectedly juvenile but unexpectedly mixed with some very adult undertones here and there, and the film is heavily influenced by Romero zombie flicks and Kaiju epics! And, what about the 3-D, you say? Well, it just so happens that it’s absolutely spectacular, with excellent depth and quite a few popouts too! This is something I probably wouldn’t watch in 2-D, but in 3-D it’s an absolute eye-popping blast, and at 77 minutes it doesn’t wear out its welcome. And the final scene with Garfield and his girl

is a legit surreal stunner, just beautiful. Recommended!
