Default Kroger goes HD-DVD EXCLUSIVE!!!

"Starting on November 5th, Kroger Supermarkets Inc. will start offering HD-DVD players and movies next to the budget televisions and regular budget priced DVDs. They have pledged to have displays also educating consumers as to the advatages of HD-DVD players and movies over regular DVDs. The company has yet to decide on whether or not to also begin selling Chinese made HDTVs also.

When asked about other hi-def formats and whether Kroger would also offer them, CFO Amir Koinsidense said that it was not likely."

Didn't I read they just had to recall the Salmon Dip?

Shop at Kroger at you own risk.

OH THATS a winner, lets see I need a loaf of bread, some crackers, case of beer, some of that salmon dip and oh yea I almost forgot to pickup that HDDVD player, the old lady would have killed me if I would have forgotten that.

Let me guess, Toshiba striked a deal with each state to allow food stamps to be redeemed for the players as well........

lmao, I am really worried

Is this exclusivity, or merely a lack of the Citizen/Yorx price point for Blu-ray for these retailers?

The Kroger stores near me only have groceries, no electronics... Wonder how much Toshiba had to pay them. I have a feeling something is about to happen if they are buying off these crappy stores to be HD DVD exclusive... Seems thats all they can get at this point.

Another useless thread. Come on guys lets be the more mature group with the better technology. I'm sure the guys riding the fence looking at these stupid posts wonder about the members of this group and whether they want to be associated with such juvenile antics...makes me wonder at times so I can only imagine what others feel.

kmart is desperate...

they are a lower income catered chain...so they need to sell lower end things like the HD-DUD crap...

HD-DUD will not make any noise without dominating the Real Electronic/Tech Stores like, Frys, CC, BB,...etc...

Go Blu!!! LOL! HD-DUD trying to make power moves...but its so insignificant, this news aint shit to mean!

Go Blu!!!

I love Spidey Trilogy...Cant wait for Cars and Ratou!!!

Go Blu!
