Default Keep Jvc rs45 and darbee or get Sony 50es or Jvc rs4810?

Hey everyone, need some advice. I have a Jvc rs45 projector and darbee Darlet. I'm debating getting the Sony 50es or Jvc rs4810 for possibly better picture quality. Worth the change? I'd obviously sell the rs45 and Darlet cause both of what I'm looking at have either reality creation or eshift.

Keep what you have.

It will eat the Sony.

Reports from users of the new JVC's are that E-Shift 2 is not as good as E-Shift 1.

Hmm that HW50ES RC mode is pretty cool! I am thinking the 3D might give the HW50ES the edge, but the JVC has awesome 2D/deeper blacks. But your right with the 50 you can get rid of the Darbee because of the RC really works well.

Not a bad problem to have and good luck!

Sony's RC adds a lot of noise to backgrounds. Darbee won't.

You are right on 3D tho. I didn't think of that. Mine has 3D and I have only used it once. Never again.

If the op is considering the Sony he might want to dabble in 3d. I agree 3d is very subjective and I hope he can demo both Pj's.

Really?! Not doubting you... just curious what you heard, and as to why? Is this something popping up with buyers over at AVS?

Yep, also a good friend of mine who upgrades every year. Has gone from the X90 to the X95. Didn't notice any contrast improvement. Even I didn't like the e-shift 2 (we called it e-shit 2). Then he persuaded the guy who purchased his X90 to swap for the X95. Not a issue with his actual unit too. He is a JVC dealer. We grabbed the X55 also. Same e-shit 2 on that also.

If I had the new JVC. I would turn it off.

Interesting. I saw projectors with e-shift 1 & 2 & I liked the e-shift 2 more. The new lamp design is also brighter & if you care about 3D at all was improved too. The results with the e-shift 2 & Darbee are awesome! I've heard some people saying they prefer one version over the other, just go with what you like. I love my RS4810.
