New to BR - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, I'm a long time reader of the forums and come the 19th I will be a proud owner of a Blu-Ray unit. My home theater will be installed and my first order of Blu-Ray discs has just been made.

I'm looking forward to everything Blu-Ray has to offer, and looking more forward to the fall of HD-DVD.

Glad to see there is such a loyal following when it comes to BR.

I can't remember the Blu-Ray player I bought. I've been dealing with the installers so much, so that detail has slipped through my memory.

Here is the rest:

58" Panasonic Plasma
TH-58PZ750

Yamaha
HTR-5990 Receiver

Motorola HD PVR. Not sure the model. There is only one provided by my cable company.

3 x Paradigm Millena 20's
2 x Millena ADP's
Seismec 10 Sub

Went back and forth for 2 weeks on 5.1 vs 7.1 It just didn't seem like it was worth the extra cash. The receiver has the option for 7.1 so it's there is I decide to go with it.

I can't wait. Should be good stuff.
