Peter Strickland's Berberian Sound Studio won four awards at last night's British Independent Film Awards, including Best Director for Peter Strickland and Best Actor for Toby Jones. Artificial Eye will release the film on Blu-ray on December 31.

Ben Wheatley's latest film, Sightseers, won Best Screenplay Awards, while Bart Layton's The Imposter won Best Documentary Award and the Douglas Hickox Award for Best Debut Director.

Rufus Norris's debut Broken, starring Cillian Murphy, Tim Roth and Rory Kinnear, won Best British Independent Film Award.
