Default SyFy'ds Collection Intervention

So the other day I came across this tv show on a Norwegian channel, and have found and watched 5 of the 6 episodes of this show.

Now some of the people here could do with some help organizing their collections, but I was mostly annoyed at the host for pushing them to sell the best pieces.

Sure, they fetch a lot of money fast, but come on. Poor Starwars collectors in first episode who sell the Gentle Giant/Sideshow/Master replicas stuff at auction instead of unloading much of the less valuable shelf-fillers..

$700 for the Jango Fett blasters just broke my heart, the one on Ebay now is listed at $900 and I would not sell mine for less (wouldn't sell at all )

Yeah, we had a show like that here. There was a Star Wars couple. Kinda made me a little upset with the host. We actually wound up meeting the couple at CVI in Orlando this past August. I told them to never stop collecting.

By the way, that's an awesome collection you have there. Very very nice.

Hey Shallow did you take a look at the pics I posted of the Sideshow Babydoll in my Wall of Sucker Punch thread at all?

As for that show it really pissed me off when I was watching the previews for it so I never gave it a look.

I enjoyed the U.S. version of this show while it was on last summer. I sort of hope it comes back although I haven't heard anything about it. It was mostly cool just to see other people's collections (even though a lot of them were essentially hoarders but with stuff that I'm interested in).

Yeah, there was one guy who had all this catwoman stuff but he had it in his garage and a lot of it was trashed from not having it climate controlled.

This show pisses me off as it treats Collectors as Nerdy Hoarders...If you notice MOST Collectors go to great lengths to keep their collection/"Hoards" in the best condition they can. We can't all have temp. controlled Garage or Basements, but we usually keep things as orderly and protected from exposure as possible...at least I know I do.
