I've been wondering what everyone thinks regarding buying 4K Blu-Ray for a movie that was shown theatrically in 3D. Some of the recent examples that come to mind are Mad Max, Life of Pi, X-Men DoFP, the Peanuts, and the Martian. I own all of these in 3D on Blu-Ray, and I don't see why I would want to "upgrade" these titles when they were shown in 3D in theaters and most if not all are 2K upscales.
