![]() ![]() I'm surprised this doesn't have a thread already, but Cult Epics will release Tinto Brass' Private (Fallo!) (2002) on Blu-ray shortly. This will likely be the English-friendly edition to get, as the film, were it to come out in the UK, would likely be the shorter version only. According to Amazon, this will contain both the shorter "Producer's" cut and the full-length Director's Cut (Italian version), like the Cult Epics DVD. I'm hoping Cult Epics has used lossless audio this time around... |

There was definitely a thread, McCrutchy, because if I recall correctly initially there was actually a different street date. We might have lost it in the crash.
I have the uncut Italian DVD release and am looking forward to see what type of an upgrade the Blu-ray will offer. This is one of the lighter Brass films, with plenty of comedy. I enjoy the more recent films, but I would love to see some of the early Brass films transition to Blu-ray. The psychedelic thrillers, in particular, would be great to have. Deadly Sweet with Jean-Louis Trintignant (The Conformist, Amour) would be fantastic to get on Blu-ray. The soundtrack is simply outstanding ![]() ![]() ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Pro-B Last edited by pro-bassoonist; 05-14-2013 at 09:22 AM. |

I'd just overall love to see more films from the 70s being released from them, especially ones they haven't put out on DVD before. I'd love to 'discover' something new through them, again. |

Hey Coop,
For "discoveries", you should definitely look into: The Fernando Arrabal Collection Vol. 1 and 2 Volume 1 http://www.amazon.com/Fernando-Arrab...bal+colelction Volume 2 http://www.amazon.com/Fernando-Arrab...bal+colelction Also, Slogan. In fact, just this past week I upgraded my single-disc edition with the double set (I will post a picture below to make it clear). The transfer is not anamorphic, but the set is very much worth owning for the extras. If you like Serge and Jane, this is an essential release to own ![]() Additionally, it would be fantastic if we could upgrade Serge's Je t'aime moi non plus (I Love You, I Don't). Optimum's release is very nice, using an anamoprhic transfer that was ported from the French Canal release. But a Blu-ray release will be incredible. To have the music in lossless alone will be very special. Too bad that Serge's classic films are yet to transition to Blu-ray. But we have this wonderful recent film with Laetitia Casta: ![]() ![]() ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Pro-B Last edited by pro-bassoonist; 05-14-2013 at 09:53 PM. |
