![]() ![]() Release date was just announced - June 18 I was stunned by this film. It's one of the most impressive debut films I've seen in my life, and the fact that it was made for just $14 million US (according to an article I read) is astonishing. It combines Paul Greengrass's ability to recreate a historical event in vivid, lifelike detail, with a much more classical style of narrative and characterization that reminds me of Spielberg's Munich. It manages to say a great deal about the causes of terrorism in general and of this incident in particular, in very subtle ways, while also being a gripping thriller. I cannot recommend this film highly enough! I saw it twice in two days when it came out! Last edited by James Luckard; 04-18-2019 at 06:08 PM. |
