Not-Quite Zombie Movies - Blu-ray Forum

Some films have a rep as being zombie movies, but for whatever reason are not technically about zombies, because the people never actually died or because they have some different supernatural affliction.

A couple that I have recently seen or re-watched:

28 Days Later (infected-and-deranged but living humans)
The Last Man on Earth (behave like zombies but are technically vampires)

Are there others?

Demons & Demons 2(green veiny, spread the demon “virus” mostly with finger nails)
Cooties (kids and chicken nuggets?)
The Children (yellow smoke affects only kids and they burn their victims with hands) anyways, they give off a zombie-ish vibe
The Crazies(some sort of anger and violence inducing infection)

Rabid (Contagion from some kind of experimental surgery on the Patient Zero (Marilyn Chambers))
Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (some kind of agricultural sound machine for killing insects)
I Drink Your Blood (Rabies infected meat pies, lol)
Poultrygeist (people turn into undead chicken monsters)

I actually watched that one last weekend and it totally slipped my mind when I made my list, but your right, no zombies, lol.

Actually, I blind bought the movie and went in thinking it was going to be some kind of splatter fest like Tokyo Gore Police or something like that...and this movie completely dumped that expectation on it's head. I don't mean that in a negative way though because the movie is great. I really don't want to say more, because, it would be real easily to spoil what really is happening in this movie, so I'll leave it at that.

Gotta say how pleasantly surprised I was by the aforementioned Cooties. Far from a perfect movie, but there's a few bits that really had me laughing. Lots of fun if you're looking for a cheesy, B zombie-esque movie.
