Refurbished receivers - Good or Bad?

Hey Guys

I want to know if anyone has anything to say against buying refurbished electronic items, point being, a receiver. Opportunity is present for me to buy a Denon 3313 refurbished with a manufacturers warranty for one year @ $799.99 CAN.

Is there a rule of thumb against buying refurbished electronics? Have people here had more problems with refurbished purchases opposed to new items? I would rather wait for a sale and buy a new unit than buy a refurbished one and have problems next week so it is important for me here everyones opinion about this.

I also bought my Samson S Convert mini bump box to connect the receiver to a pro amp so I am on board for this! I just need to know what people think!
