Can anybody identify this Asian movie for me?

If I can remember well it starts off with a young cop.
This cop gets into trouble with the mafia(?), there's a fight in a restaurant, and somewhere towards the end of the movie there's a schoolbus being held captive, I think it had children as hostages in there as well.

I saw this movie once on a plain a long time ago, so my memory is a bit hazy.
