Default to all those falling for the FUD...and LUKE WAR SUPPORTERS

look at this forum after one day..AVS is gloating at the people here..why because you are letting them get to you...

o'l there's a $98.00 HD DVD player
HOW can the Blu-Ray group counter act that....
i am going to buy that player..

well good for you you are doing exactly what The HD DVD promotional group wants you to do...people worried about Warner Bros. going exclusive..Q: how much is MARKET SHARE WILL HD DVD gain in a single Q:4 can they over come a full years worth of sales. can the HD DVD format drop the Blu-Ray market share down under their current % ,if not would Warner Bros.

Go exclusive...hey if they are going exclusive they already decided its not worth haveing a fit over it..Don't be a fair Weather FAN. if you are ,you are just as much of the problem as the people who support the HD DVD format. if you realy think blu-ray should win AND YOU WANT THE FORMAT WAR OVER choose it..don't be luke warm..too many D@mn luke warm people now on this forum. You claim you want Blu-Ray to Win but then go buy into HD DVD...but i just like the Movies..hey i like the MOVIES also but HAVE SOME BALLS . you buying this $98.00 HD DVD player is only makeing the format war go on and further the delay of HDM by strangling it.

Although I do think if these cheap players start doin any real damage, Sony will put out its own cheap players to counteract it.

Thank you I agree completely joeorc. Why are people buying into this nonsense.

Think about this before you rush out ther and buy a player. This is what HDDVD wants, this format war is ending and Toshiba knows it. That's why they're doing this, if you go out an buy a player you're prolonging this crap.

Warner is going to look at this holiday season and say "Wow, blu-ray supporters are MUCH quicker to just drop their format and go with the other one. Obviously they don't care about quality as much as we thought." We'll lose support from the biggest studio out there, and (IMO) the entire war.

Right now Blu-Ray is in a very good spot. What you need to do, instead of leveling the playing field, is go out and buy $99 worth of Warner movies so they know that we're behind them and the Blu-Ray format.

Is it really worth having this all go on just for a crappy player and a few movies that WOULD be released on Blu-Ray anyways if you'd just suck it up for a minute and wait it out? To be quite frank I'm not entirely impressed with a lot of members here right now. I'm blu until I die, I hate HD DVD...wait there's a crappy clearance player out there? Screw this I'm out.

WB is going Blu-ray exclusive next year.
Toshiba's pathetic format is destined for failure.

yeah, their top movies are movies that have been out on DVD for years now...

excluding Transformers and a few decent titles...

BD's top titles are new and also one's that have been on DVD...

Think about it, How many of the *trailer trash that buy this player for $98 will beable to afford to continue to support HDDVD by buying Movies at +$30 a pop.....not enough to make any difference.

*I used the term trailer trash because every single time I've walked into a Wal-Mart a majority of the people in there were in fact trailer trash, I did not intend to imply that if you shop there, that you are trailer trash, as I do shop there myself once in a while.

Well put joeorc!!!!!!!!! The $98 dollar price tag is just something to get rid of the A2 players and everybody is acting like it's the end all and be all of HDM. WickyWoo said it best (and as always the voice of reason) that Toshiba had 50,000+ A2's left when the A3 came out and they need to and Wal Mart need to get rid of them. Besides this is a one day sale.

not just sony ..there are too many people up in arms about this ..and AVS was bragging "o'l the bda was caught with their pants down" Its kind of funny the BDA has a 2 day show the new Warner Bros. head rep at the meeting says the number one movie sold and #2 on Blu-Ray is "THE 300" and its right before Black-friday there is now a $98.00 HD DVD player through Walmart...Warner Bros. we are looking to see how Toshiba does this 4Q: SO THE BDA is just going to sit back an do nothing why would they do that..not do anything do they know something you do not know...Warner Bros. going HD DVD exclusive...?

So what if They know Warner Bros. was going HD DVD exclusive..what is the BDA going to do..just roll over and let HD DVD win and not try..yea good call.
when the BDA already had 2 to 1 lead with out even that much Warner Bros. support any way..what have we heard for almost a D@MN YEAR Warner bros. is not releaseing the matrix, AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MATRIX SALES...YEA IT DID REAL WELL IN SALES...

I'd be all over it if I wasn't already neutral.

I want my movies now. It's not about balls, it's about enjoying HD movies.

I have enough money to risk it so why not...

Do you want HDM or downloads? If you want HDM, prolonging this war only hurts HDM. How is that for a why not?

We just have differing opinions. I want to watch movies that are exclusive to both.

I don't have stock holdings in either company so I honestly don't care either way.

You know, as superior as hd-dvd is suppose to be, as they do claim the slogan "the look and sound of perfect". They really ain't showing it on all there prices of hd-dvd players. The now new technology of theres is now the price of a dvd player, what does that tell you, for next gen stuff that stuff is way to cheap.

Because you are increasing the risk that both will dye out.

Two formats = Confusion
Confusion = Low HDM Adoption Rates
Low HDM Adoption Rates = Dead Formats

Perhaps. Perhaps I am buying discs on both sides and showing that there is a demand for HDM. Imagine that...
