Kinowelt released Part I and Warner did part IV. Kinowelt hasn't released II or III as standalones in Germany. They are the same disc as the French, Austrian and Australian versions afaik.

Thanks AnimeOnBlu,

Damn! I liked to have part II (especially) released by Kinowelt...Well then I just might have to buy Rambo: First Blood because I love the cover of it!

But I'm still wondering if the Kinowelt Rambo: First Blood has a different encoding compared to the Studio Canal First Blood?

I'm wondering of part 1 because atleast I have understood that the German John Rambo has a inferior encode compared to the UK/USA Rambo 4?

They may not have been released separately in Germany, but they have been in Austria:

They are also sold as a 3 pack in a Metalpak case. I believe the Metalpak is Region A & B, but I am not sure about the individuals, as the German Rambo I is suppose to be Region B Locked.

US version is the best version overall. The HK/UK version come in a close second.

Thanks again,

So they are released in Austria and not in Switzerland? I really don't care but it seems I need to find some cheap Swiss or Austrian online shop!

I want to buy the best versions of Rambos considering their art work. And I really like these Kinowelt arts of Rambo I, II and III.

I think Kinowelt is the only company giving some credit to the films considering art work. The only other quite good is the UK art work of part II, that is the original poster art. But the art of UK Rambo II should be bigger with less credits..

Otherwise I would not been so serious about the art work, but I happen to own the UK released Complete Collection - and it is such a impractical box that I need to swap it. If I don't get it sold for a good price I will just swap the discs to the Kinowelt versions because the EU versions have more subtitle options (incl Finnish for my friends).

I just wish not to pay me sick of art work..thou I just bought John Rambo Steelbook..But actually I got me a few extra bucks to compensate the price of the Steelbook, when I sold my HD DVD versions of parts I-III.

Rambo 2, 3 and 4 are "indiziert" in Germany, so you won't find them uncut at Amazon.de
The Version of Rambo 4 at Amazon.de is cutted.
Maybe you should buy the UK Discs of Rambo 1,2 and 3 instead of the german, and make your own cover to print out for yourself.

The UK discs are quite cheap.

Anyone know if the recent German blu ray of Rambo 3 has English subs for the Russian speaking parts?
